Our host, bless him!
Bruce drove us for breakfast to a local casino, the Aliante. It was a mega-buffet, with a choice of American, Asian, Tex-Mex, Italian and 'healthy' food. It only cost $5 a head - bargain!
Because we wanted another front master cylinder repair kit, for Kev, Bruce took us to Sinister Cycles, his local indie. She didn't have one in stock, but said she'd have it in the morning. How different from home, where everything takes weeks. Kev bought some dog-leg levers, for comfort and efficiency, which he can take back tomorrow, if they don't fit.
I needed to phone Jireh, to order some parts to be delivered to Nitro Bill's place in California. They are so much cheaper over here, particularly bearing in mind the potential cost of shipping. I wanted to get a windscreen and some crash bars for Ruby, the red Shovelhead, and to fit these at Bill's, before delivering her to the shipper's warehouse. I also wanted an Ultima oil pump for my Evo and a single-fire electronic ignition kit, to replace the one I'd given Kev. Bruce had a quick release screen to trade, off his now sold Road King, so I didn't have to order one, just get the quick-release bobbins from a dealer. Jireh had the other parts so the order was made. I hope they get to Bill's in time.
Bruce then took us the back way to visit Lake Mead, the source of Las Vegas' drinking water.

Bruce then took us to see the Hoover dam. We'd crossed it by way of a new highway bridge, when coming up to Vegas, last night, so hadn't really noticed it before.
Kevin and I wanted to take Bruce and Shirley out to dinner, by way of thanks for their kind hospitality. We met Shirley at the Waverly Steak House, in the Cannery Casino. It was nice food but dear. Bruce had a steak and the rest of us had the special, which was barbecued chicken and ribs. Nice. We left Shirley at the Casino, while we came back to the house to get our bikes and ride to a Las Vegas bike night, at Mister D's Sportsbar and Grill, on Rainbow. They weren't people like us, tho', so we just had one beer and then were going to ride the strip. Unfortunately, before we even crossed the parking lot, Bruce's bike kept cutting out. It seemed to be a dodgy iggy switch, so rather than risk having it let him down in the heat and congestion of Las Vegas Boulevard, we went home ...................................ooooh, that 'home' slipped in quite easily, lol.
